Ok first proper issue I've had on my 05(55) my06 gti.
On a long journey the low washer fluid warning came on. Nothing unusual there I hadn't topped her for a while. Thought no more about it until a little later in the journey and noticed no water came out. That said it still came out of the rear wash.
Windscreen washers work ok, but the flick wipe function is scoobied....
On reflection I noticed two unusual events in my journey the radio reset and the blower (air) seemed to give a short blast.... I'm reckoning a fuse... But which one? The manual does not mention the washer fluid... However the rear still works.
When pulling the right hand stalk towards me the flick wipe is inop and there is no sound....also the headlight washers don't work
any idea folks?

Not sure if this helps but there's a very handy fusecard on each fusebox. Could be possible that the back washer and front washer have a different fuse?
-
:sad1:
No fusecard on any of mine. Just what's in the manual but I don't see any fuse listed for the washers ....
Does anyone know how to get to the one on the passenger side? Does the glove box lid have to come out first? Removing the side piece I can't see any fuses. ....
-
I didnt know there was 1 on the passenger side, I`ve got 1 fuse box on the Drivers side and another inside the engine bay ...

Yes there's one on the passenger side IIRC. Use your key to just clip it out like the drivers side.
-
Sure the plastic panel prises off but there is no bank of fuses similar to the drivers side. The handbook implies you need to remove the glove box somehow. Can anyone clarify?
-
I'll let you know when I get to my car in an hour or so.
-
Ok I can't see a fusebox either on the passenger side.

I used this fuse chart i found on another forum when my headlight washers blow a fuse the manual is next to useless. I too have no fuse card

:sad1:
deffo not fuse 36 or the other 20a fuse.
Looks like I need to go to the garage.
I'll report back findings. Sadly it's bank holiday Monday. Doubt they'll be open today.

:pomppomp:
ok....dont ask me how but the fault above has cleared itself!
The logic must have got screwed up somehow when I flicked the wing mirrors switch and at the same time the radio reset...thought it odd at the time. No fuses blown....guess it just took a little time to sort itself out...how very zen.
Oh well, at least its working :-)
