Title: Eibach Sportline tyre rubbing on front
Post by: ksamyui on March 09, 2023, 10:05:44 pm
I’m on Eibach Sportline and getting a bit of rubbing on the front when turning on slightly sharper bends and roundabouts. Standard shocks with Mk6 Gti wheels and standard profile on tyres. I can’t see any visible marks on the outer edge of the tyre, which is where I would have thought the rub would be happening. Weather is crap at the mo, so before I go abs get under the car, anyone else know where the common rub spots are?

Does the fender screw mod mean more crap can get up into the wing and rot it?

Are the dimensions and offset of those wheels the same as factory?

I’m sure I had some rubbing when my car was fitted with Eibach springs (now removed).

Not sure if removing the screw and tweaking the liner means more rubbish in the arch… but it isn’t a big issue if you keep it clean.
