hi all
i want to do a coolant flush... whats best way? - rad bottom hose or the aux water pump near the sump?
https://www.myfastgti.com/threads/coolant-flush-diy.17420/
would the aux water pump be ok to flush from?
-
Can't see a problem doing it from aux pump
-
Would that empty the whole system? Is it the same as doing it from rad bottom hose?
-
It's as low a point in the coolant system so can't see a problem in doing it from there - probably easier than getting the bottom hose off.

Yes it is :signLOL:
i'll try it and see what happens :happy2:
thanks for reply

Hey ! Just done a coolant change on mk5 1.9 tdi, undone the bottom rad hose and maybe 2/3 litres off old coolant came out , I was expecting 8 litres ? I’m guessing that’s not a complete flush then and the remaining 5 ish litres would be sitting in the engine??? Any help would be much appreciated
