Title: Dmf or single mass flywheel ??
Post by: Greenboalabama on March 23, 2023, 12:32:33 pm
Hi guys sorry if this has Been posted before (I should imagine it has many times)
My clutch pedal is biting high and has slipped a few times under load, so I'm going to get a new clutch and flywheel, do you guys recommend a dual or single mass flywheel? Is there a lot of vibration with a single ? Has anyone changed to a single ?
Thanks guys in advance.

If you daily the car and sit in traffic a lot, you will hate your life if you choose an SMF.

Get an S3 spec DMF from AKS Tuning. Keep it classy, keep it OEM  :happy2:

as above agree with Pudding
what power (or more importantly torque)? are you running which would suggest which clutch.

Thanks for the replies,  I'm not to sure on figures as been told it's been mapped but I'm dubious,  but planning on a map after the clutch. My guess would be around 220ish.  It is my daily but mostly motorway miles 40 a day.  I shall have a look at the aks kit .
