Title: Will my headlamps pass the MOT please?

So the last owner of my mk5 fitted aftermarket xenon headlights with led bulbs. I was told by a neighbour that they would not pass the MOT. I had a look at fitting standard h7 bulbs but the units had no locating cut out for the bulb?
