Hi,
Wanted to get abit advice of a issue I got on my GTI DSG
When I go on a 5-10 minute drive and I come to a stop my car stalls but everything stays on like stereo besides the engine and the battery light turns on and I have to turn it off and turn it back on. When I do start it abit of smoke comes out the exhaust then goes. I would also like to mention that this car was apparently remapped before I got it
Another thing I’ve realised is when I’m idling the revs jumps up and down between 1k-1.5k revs
I’ve changed my spark plugs and pcv valve and battery and cleaned the MAF Sensor still no luck
I’ve also checked for codes and none appear
Any advice will help

That's usually a sign of a goosed MAF.

Could be an air leak too, check the pcv hoses, the brake booster hose etc :happy2:

For anyone wondering how I fixed this
My car has the R8 Coilpacks.
The person which previously had the car had the standard spark plugs with it which at the time was fine when i first got it and then i started to notice the stall issue once in a while but ignored it then it got worse. I changed the spark plugs replacing with the recommended standard spark plug for the car. The issue continued, after some time of trying other fixes I thought to myself whats the recommended spark plug for R8 coilpacks and it was NGK BKR7EIX. even though they are considered as motorcycle spark plugs i was like yolo. whats the worse that could happen. I bought them and swapped them, ever since that changed. I haven't had the issue again and the car ran much more better. This was two months ago now. Still going good
