This issue applies to K04 engined DSG cars only, engine code BYD. Unfortunately it seems if you need to replace your flywheel you could be in trouble. The part is no longer available from VW and there doesn't seem to be any aftermarket options.
AKS tuning state: VW MK5 Golf GTI Editon 30 - BYD - 06F105266S (Part made obsolete In April 2023, obsolete without replacement)
Mine has developed a bit of a rattle and I'm guessing one of the damping springs have broken.
Does anyone know of a solution or does the Audi S3 flywheel fit?

Plenty available over here.

Those seem to be for manual.gearboxes. Can you confirm it will fit?
-
The GTI K03 cars share the same DSG gearbox flywheel as the K04 cars. Also they are available online from various companies.
-
I'm confused. AKS site say's they're different and the are no aftermarket flywheel options for K04 engined cars with DSG and genuine ones are no longer available.

BYD engine not listed unfortunately. This is doing my head in lol.

The DSG gearbox is the same. The DSG flywheel is the same as GTI/ED30 & Pirelli. Only the diesel MK5 DSG is different due lower RPMS.
Over the years the DSG gearboxes were revised/improved hence different part numbers on the DSG blocks.

Hi SpongeBob.
I’m having the same problem that you had. How did you resolve the issue, did you eventually find the correct flywheel or did you replace the flywheel with standard GTI or one from a different model? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
-
The standard mk5 GTi DSG flywheel fits. The only difference between the standard flywheel and the edition 30 / Pirelli edition flywheel is in weight. These cannot be got anywhere so the standard GTi dsg flywheel is the only option.

Just for further information we decided to use the flywheel from the Edition 35, just because it’s closer to the original power of the Edition 30/Pirelli.
