Post by: Hansandersmk5 on September 05, 2024, 02:25:13 pm
Hi ,

I have a question and i cant find it else where. But im having smoke coming out of the nipple marked in the picture, when the car is warm and when i put my finger on top of it i feel air coming out of it.

Any ideas ?

Thanks !

How does the engine run at idle? Is it smooth?

Those two bolts are for securing the coil pack harness - if they're leaking id recommend checking they're tight and if so they may require a tiny bit of sealant

I reckon someone has drilled through the hole, or a run a screw through it thinking bolts were missing from the coil pack harness, but VW never secured it down from the factory.  It just rested over those nubs on the rocker cover.

It does run fine at idle nothing weird, and i also dont use the top cover it came without it.
I i started to notice it when i was standing stil or opened the hood when the car was running
