Title: Exhaust light on - P0401 Error Code from reader

Hi guys,

Just driving home now and out of nowhere, the exhaust light comes on and stays on. Absolutely no issues with the rest of my drive? Car was driving and sounds fine.

Ran a code check on the driveway and I get a 'P0401' fault code.

Thoughts? I've got a 2007 1.6 FSi, petrol.

My mechanic couldn't see my car until the New Year and I've had to use the it a couple of times for short trips - still no issues with the way it drives. Anyway, the warning has just gone out on its own :scared:

Could it have been fuel related? I question it because a few days before the warning came on I'll filled the tank up from our local Asda, which I never normally do, and have heard several horrors stories previously about the quality of their fuel... Just a thought.
