Hi there, brand new to this forum so please excuse me if this is a dumb question. I've got a 2008 Edition 30 that I am trying to sell and I just wondered if anyone had any advice as to where is best to do this?

When I sold mine I advertised it on Facebook market place, Autotrader, Gumtree and on here (think you need a certain amount of posts to advertise on here) and other forums (Club GTI)
Had people ringing me at midnight telling me it wasn't an Edition 30 :fighting2:
Eventually sold it to a guy who lives in the next street :signLOL:
Good luck with your sale.

Awesome - thats really helpful - thank you! :happy2:

I've had mine for just over a year now and bought it from someone advertising it on clubgti - but they didn't advertise it anywhere else and I think he waited quite awhile before I came along.
I always find it best to just blanket advertise everywhere - gumtree, ebay classifieds, forums, fb marketplace - annoyingly there doesn't seem to be a separate section for ED30 GTIs on autotrader, so you're lumping it in with all the bog standard mk5s

Thank you. I've got mine on FB and Autotrader and I wasnt sure whether there was something more GTI specific (such as this forum). Prices seem to vary considerably and I guess its a niche market.

This forum and many others are sadly now all but dead. With younger drivers now buying these cars up, the main method of interaction these days is unfortunately through social media, fb groups etc - so you'll get a lot more feedback through those areas, if you can stand it!

Sounds like I dont have a choice. I need to get it sold as sitting on my drive isnt doing it any good at all. Thanks again for your responses.
