Looking to fit a mechanical boost gauge,
Has anyone fitted one & is there a specific place on the manifold to take a feed from?

Need a boost tap from GFB that fits on the manifold where the PCV upper hose goes onto the manifold.
Not cheap, but TFSI do not have any vac take offs.

That was mine in my old Edition 30 (Newsouth gauge) the vent mount was from eBay.
Don't have any pics of the boost tap fitted but it's self explanatory when it's in front of you.
I removed battery and put the hose through the bulkhead grommet thats visible.
Wired up the illuination onto an ignition live on the inside fusebox on the end of the dash.

Thanks, where does this fit to?

You can get a boost tap from aliexpress for quite cheap. It's metal and it locks in place so you've got nothing to worry about. The tap fits between the intake and the pcv. For a boost gauge, dont cheap out and get one from a reliable source. Otherwise your measurements will never be on spot.
One thing to note, tapping the pcv/intake connection pumps a sh*t ton of oil into the boost gauge.... A better option is to tap the area near the charge pipe right before the throttle body but it requires some custom diy.

Cool, thanks for the info, will look into these.
