Title: Power folding mirror modules.
Post by: GTI 500 on October 02, 2025, 10:36:41 pm: Bought some power folding mirrors for my 2005 GTI (from a 2006 car), can someone confirm if these are compatible for my car & if they can be coded to fold on the key & when the car is locked.
module numbers, motor numbers 1K0 959 701L & 702L,
Black module numbers 1K0 959 792H & 793H,
Any info would be great.

Here's a list of all door controllers and what they are. I dont remember which PN is pre or post 2007 anymore since it's been a while since I worked with them but I dont think they did any gen 1's and 2's post 2007. Gen 2 high should be pre 2007 and support power folding.

The ones you got should support power folding but to get them to fold in/out by locking the car? I think you need mk6 modules for that. And if your car is pre 2007, good luck with the wiring!
