Hey guys, this is my first post so if I'm posting this in the wrong area please let me know!
I've got a stock (other than an intake) MK5 GTI K03 on just over 95k miles. Had an issue for a while where I'd lose power upon acceleration and it would judder. After driving home from a longer run the engine light came on and started misfiring so did everything I could think of to get it sorted. Long story short I reluctantly had to take it to the garage as I didn't really have the time to deal with it anymore and they diagnosed it as a faulty injector. After quoting me £600 for one injector and £350 for diagnosis I decided I'd give it a go myself. Now I know that people are going to cringe reading this but I ended up having to buy a cheaper set off Ebay due to financial reasons however now it cranks over and I can hear the solenoid in the injector working but it doesn't start at all.
I bought a new scanner which led me to having two DTCs.
- 19649/P3193/012691 - Intake Manifold Runner Control: Open Stop outside of Valid Range
- 17506/P1098/004248 - Intake Manifold Tuning Valve Position Sensor (G336): Open or Short to Plus
Now I've bought a new adapter and downloaded VCDS on the laptop to try and perform this basic setting to see if that works but just wanted to know what you guys think. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am very much so losing the plot
