Post by: MXLMB1807 on January 27, 2026, 03:21:07 pm
So, my GTI has mk6 clocks, headunit, dual climate control etc etc. But no Steering wheel buttons. So ive went ahead and bought the controls with module. P/N    1K0959538F
Is this going to fit without any extra work? Im really not clued up on electrics so any advice or questions im happy to answer.
TIA

The slip ring has to match the control module of that is being updated to allow the wheel buttons to talk and be coded in

What module is in your car first?

When looking at 1K0959538F, it is a midline module so no steering wheel function and is Type 2 slip ring
