Title: Blaupunkt Wolfsberg 648
Post by: matt74 on February 01, 2026, 10:01:44 am: Thought I’d post this in case useful for others. Just installed a Blaupunkt Wolfsberg 648. Designed as a VW direct replacement. Not the cheapest option but the advantage was that it was totally plug and play with everything needed in the box and has quite an OEM look. Works out of the box with all the steering wheel buttons and even sends podcast, radio and Track information to the display in the instrument cluster. I’m using it with Apple CarPlay but it also has android auto.

Post by: matt74 on February 15, 2026, 10:41:21 am: Pressing the phone button on the wheel takes me to the phone app on CarPlay, same with the phone button on the head unit. It doesn’t seem to answer the phone but then you get those big buttons on the screen with CarPlay.

There’s a mic included in the box that I need to install. Probably when I do my sagging headlining and put a DAB aerial in too.

This will be an easy install for me as i have the mic dab shark fin and mdi unit tucked in the glove box :happy2:
