Because the car runs a MAF sensor based fuelling system, any unmetered air from an atmospheric BOV will upset the fuelling, could cause lumpy running and stalling.

If you want some noise from it, stick an aftermarket intake, k04 dv relocation kit, a rev G dv and get it mapped. If mapped, you can use a DV+ if k03, rev G if k04. DV+ cant really deal with the pressure a K04 works with and will throw CEL

Also noise depends on the pressure the map demands of it.

First video was recorded with a k04 with a dv+ and 1.55 bar peak pressure. 2nd video is 1.45 bar peak and a rev G. The noise is still there just not as continuous. I have to be under WOT for it to happen. Also this was recorded when my downpipe-muffler buckle came apart so i was basically running a catless straight pipe
