Hey all, new here. Recently purchased a MK5 GTI, I have an intermittent power steering issue. When the car starts up first thing, power steering works as should, after around 10-15 minutes, i get a beep (no warning light on dash just the sound) and then lose all power steering. Sometimes it will come back on temporarily during the drive, sometimes it stays off the entire time. Sometimes when I turn the car off and back on, it works again.
I have cleaned the earth connectors by the battery that are known to corrode. My two current thoughts on this is that when i bought the car, the wrong battery was fitted (incorrect amp) or that it is a problem with the rack its self.
Any thoughts are appriciated.
