Title: Rear brakes question.
Post by: Ron, Edition30 on April 13, 2010, 08:06:40 pm
Will I need the caliper rewind tool if I'm reinstalling the existing rear pads?

Want to clean the calipers and apply some anti-squeal compound.

Cheers
Ron

Thanks guys, thought I might get away with not needing one if I wasn't fitting new disks or pads. Would need a rewind tool anyway in the long run I guess.

I've cleaned the front calipers and used Bostik Pure Nickel on the back of the pads, need to do the rears now. After seeing how much dirt had built up I think it would be good practise to maintain them in this way every 6 months or so.

Cheers RedRobin, photos came out well that day.
