Title: Hello from mk2, hopefully soon to be mk5 user

Hi all,

Have been a member of golfgti.co.uk for a while (very good mk2 forums), but it seems for the mk5, these forums are 'where it's at'.

I plan on getting a mk5 sometime between July and August this year, and just thought i'd say hello!

This one has been very good to me, so i thought why not keep keep the golf name in the family eh.  :happy2:

welcome. a few of us own mk2's along with the mk5 (me included) whats the spec of the car?

Thanks guys.

Its an 8v oak green j-reg runout model, so has all the nice bits (big bumper, bbs wheels)  plus extras (electric windows, sunroof, rainbow interior.

It's totally original apart from the exhaust, which went about 9 months ago and vw no longer stock.

Have not decided whether im going to sell it or not when the mk5 comes as i'd be lucky to get £1500 for it which seems abit of a shame considering how much fun it is.

Hi there  :smiley:.I had a very nice mk2 GTI a few years ago. Wish i had kept it. If you do decide to get rid i could be intrested.  :happy2:

If thats all you think you would get for the MK2 then keep her!  :wink:

I miss my MK2  :sad1: I used to just love sitting in her as the smell was awesome!  :notworthy:
