after what seems like a life time (about 3 weeks) we have had the call that the mk2 is finished. there going to run it for a few days to make sure everything is 100% then all we have to is pay the bill and drive it away :driver:. we have got to run it for around 2,000 miles and then its got to go back for a final tune and rolling road set up. For those that are interested here is the doctored job sheet to show what has been carried out on the car over the past 3 weeks.

I won't ask what all that cost....but it sounds fantastic!
Please ask them to change the greenstuffs though.

its best not to.. had to get the piggy bank out :signLOL: do you not rate the greenstuff then? its what we have always run and had no problems with them. might be different now its running more power.

They've a habit of turning to coal and falling apart once you've got them hot, just a bit of pre-emptive strike really. Use them and see if you ruin them? then change to something else if you do.

thanks for the heads up dude. ill keep an eye on them and see how they wear. what would your choice be? it will be used for fast road and maybe (if i can bring myself to do it) the odd track day.

Shame you didn't lay your hands on a G60 conversion, but no bother.
Money no object, Pagid blues.
Otherwise Yellowstuff seems to work fine, if being a little wooden on the pedal - but they're cheap so you forgive them.

Here is quick pic of the engine. To say tickover is lumpy is an understatement lol sounds fantastic with the new exhaust system too. As for the diff. What an amazing bit of kit the levels of grip that are there now is unreal

that sounds like a good set up 175bhp to be expected ? think i would still have done it in my garage for about 20% of what tsr charge tho .
as for brakes get g60's on there with ds2500 and 5.1 fluid with braided hoses .

unfortunately we don’t have the space/time/tools/know how to do such things. plus the engine is covered for 12 months unlimited mileage should anything go wrong with it. so it was just better for us to have TSR have it for 3 weeks. we are going to see how we get on with brakes as i cant really see it doing any track days to be honest and i have never been one to be really heavy on them.
