Hi,
Been lurking on here a few weeks. I've recently bought a 57 plate 3dr GTi in reflex silver. Its got 18 Monza 2's, 10 speaker stereo and armrest with ipod prep.
I've previously had several cars including an ibiza cupra 1.8T and octy VRS 1.8T with AmD remap ARB's etc ..
really love the golf so far apart from the ridiculous amount of money vw charge for mats! and the nightmare that is keeping monza 2's clean!
Car feels different to the VRS. feels alot taller and with roll! I want to keep it fairly standard looking but wonder if anyone has lowered 30ish mm on springs only? If so which H&R or eibach? and how the standard shocks cope?
Lots of people seem to have WALK? Can anyone tell me what exactly this does?
Thanks in advance
Daryl

there are lots of forum reviews on mods for te mk5 platform.
ive just reverted my vRS back to standard. and taking the ARBs off made the car feel horrible. id really recommend getting a set of font and rear anti roll bars fitted, complimenting them with the WALK will reduce roll and increase cornering grip no end

Hi,
Welcome along! Can recommend the WALK! :happy2: Gave mine a more weighted solid feel to the steering and a more positive feel to the steering.
Where abouts in Kent you at?

Welcome to the forum :happy2:
Monza II wheels could not be easier to clean :chicken: Get yourself some Audi splits or R32 wheels, then you will know what difficult means. :signLOL:
