Title: Anyone used HAWK pads?
Post by: tony_danza on January 12, 2009, 01:11:28 pm: I was rather miffed to find you can't get DS2500 rears for a MKV yet, so I've just bought some HAWK HPS.. There weren't many other options (I refuse to buy EBC sh*t.) and, the Yanks seem to like them.

Anyone had them on their car? Thoughts?

Ah, I thought AP did rear brakes as well. If they do, then surely they use DS2500's.

OEM upgraded pads will do for now, I'll maybe look at upgrading the lot to the R32 or VWR rears in the future.

I'm up at VWR tomorrow, so I'll ask about when their latest brakes will have finished development. For road I'd expect R32 to be totally adequate, but for regular track, I'd definitely go VWR (or AP).

Wheels are a fudge as I'm just selling existing ones to fund others. :wink:
