Title: Wash Mitt
Post by: Rob GTI on April 27, 2010, 09:51:59 pm
Anyone had any good or bad experiences of the Kent Microfibre wash mitt, they are 2 for a fiver at Asda at the mo.

The autoexpress boys like it:

Was going to go for lambswool again but since my wife washed the last one, it shrank and the wool fell out in clumps I don't want to waste money. Will I notice a difference?

Not used one of these bad boys but doesnt look like something i would use...Lambswool ftw in my eyes, the sonus one is good value i reckon, the dodo juice one is a funny kinda hand shape. I feel the lambswool ones hold on the suds and allow the dirt to drift away rather than scrape over with the mitt.

I'd agree with Truckie although I've yet to find a Lambswool mitt I'm 100% happy with as they don't seem to last!!  :sad1:

I am biased here, but my sonus lambswool has been through its fair share of washes and is still as good as day one, where as some other l/wool mitts have shriveled up and are useless now.

Those noodle mitts? they to me are just those dusters with another use.

I've had a 3 lambswool mitts, none of which lasted more than 4-5 washes. Turns out it was the tumble drier that weakened them so next time they got wet, they fell apart.

Agree with the sonus shout, I've got 3or4 of these and there all holding up well. Had a fair few lambswools now and they seem the best so far, the meguiars one I had fell to bits pretty quick so is now used for arches etc. I've got a dodo wookie mitt too, but the bloody thing sooks up half the contents of the bucket and looks like some sort of weird pet when it's dry.

Hmmm so its common for the lambswool ones to fall to pieces after a bit, I may give the Kent items a swirl  :P Hope not literally....

I use a megs lambs wool mit and so far so good, altho its only had 3 washes worth of usage.
Once car is clean it gets cleaned in fresh warm water indoors and then left to dry naturally and its still all there and fluffy, havent noticed anything falling out or anything yet.

Plus the price of them from Euro Car Parts isnt bad and the Mrs gets 15% off in there too :)
