Al had this but after he did the RS4 valve it went away (i think) :happy2:

Mine kinda does it but im not 100% with the car having solid engine mounts it could be anything .

mine has been doing this for past 5 months...

its only when the engine is cold, the jingling noise starts as the boost builds up and occurs in any gear, when I take the foot off the throttle the jingling slowly stops. As soon as the car has warmed up a bit and the temp gauge is half way then it i can no longer hear it..

i had my turbo off just over a month ago when jkm fitted the forge actutor and the chap there said it looked in good nik, so I am thinking its something else

i read djhorace's post about the rs4 fuel job fixing it, so I got one just not fitted it yet so will update once its on

the noise went away this morn randomly... it happens hot or cold plus IIRC al still has the problem sometimes... even with the rs4 valve.

it must be boost related as its defo happening as boost builds up. i want to get to the bottom of this lol doing my head in  :jumping:

Are you sure it is not pinking?

That could be quite worrying...

a lot of things there which it could be or could of caused the noise, i guess ill have to get a few things checked over.  :scared:

The TFSi has individual cylinder trims for ign timing so I doubt its pinking (mine sounds very similar to pinking but I know it isnt) if the ECU detected enough knock that it was audiable by ear the car would have gone into limp long before you would hear it.

If you are still concerned about it being pinking then datalog the ign pull accross all 4 cylinders.

I had jingling on mine from 15000 miles, and it was only when the RS4 valve was fitted that it went away. It was intermittent, and it was regardless of engine temperature.

Weird how a simple valve can cause such weird noises.

im only making assumtions as to where the noise is coming from exactly because it seems to happen after 2.5k when turb spools and the noise decreases when i let off, ill get it looked at

Bit of a thread resurrection  :ashamed: but I get exactly this (just audible to me) after a K03 to K04 conversion...I guess it is just a quirk of the K04. Glad I found this thread and that I'm not the only one as I was a bit concerned.
