As per the title realy. I know the owners from being next to them at the past few Autosport shows and can get a frankly silly price on a re map. Not sure on the quality though. What can a bad map do??
-
a bad map can kill your engine.
I have not been impressed with my experience with Chipped Uk on two occassions.
thats first hand experience of incompetance and plain rudeness.
-
Ive had experience too and likewise not impressed. They completely f**ked me about with broken promises and in the end I got most of my money back cos I was not happy.
-
I won't go into details but suffice to say I wouldn't.
-
Have to agree ended up getting a car i had mapped by them remapped again by a different remapper who wasn't impressed with there work.
-
well..that seems pretty conclusive. im sure there are people who are happy with them, but there probably pissed. sorry.that was a clarkson comment

If you do a search on google for my user name, you will find my findings on Chipped UK and the experiances i've endured with them and there mapping.
I now run Revo on my oil burner ..... for a good reason.
Some company's try and pull the wool over some peoples eyes, but don't count on these people having an ounce of intelegance :happy2:
-
i used super tune from middlesbrough, think he uses chipped uk maps but mine has been excellent
-
Not too great then!! :scared: Very nearly went ahead (£40 hard to resist!!) Glad i asked. Just out of interest, what problmes did you have??

Do you have a link??

Wow £40 is bl00dy cheap! But I think for that price you are more than correct to be asking on here whether they are any good or not!!!
-
our map was on a 1.8T 150bhp Beetle the map was all or nothing to much power that died very quickly. When the new company open the ecu the chip the chip was totally on the piss and only just hanging on :surprised:.
-
just to let you know, my 170 tdi that was mapped by chipped Uk went on the rollers today.
it gave 180bhp! what a joke! they said it would be 205 bhp easily. i put the graph against a standard stock 170tdi and it was nearly the same!
-
:surprised: :surprised: Are you going back!!
-
lets just say, i havent paid for the map, and wont be doing
-
Thats shocking JPC! How come you went with them in the first place? (i dont know much about them) I'm guessing that they were quite cheap then?
-
they mapped my 25th anniversary tdi to about 190 a year or so back so was more than happy with them for that. On the day they did my mk5, they were supposed to be doing 2 new transit vans of mine. They ended up not being able to do the vans. Thru incompetance in my opinion, that was after saying they can do what i wanted easily, and do so all day long. The deal was for me to pay about 500 for the two vans and a bit of cash on the side for the car. The car map was done first. And the vans weren't sawed for
