Post by: scooba on May 08, 2010, 04:07:50 pm
Hi ,I bought a ED 30 DSG this morning with 10,600 mls one owner its two years old in June and has only had one service at 6,000 miles ,so I think it will need one soon ,What does a two year VAG service cost ?

Or do I wait till its done 20k miles .

Thanks Paul

Cost varies from dealer to dealer.  I've seen second services between £150-£250 so make sure you ring a few.  Also vw price match vat registered garages using genuine parts so try that to bring prices down.  You will need a brake fluid change which is around £45

Ref when, the car will tell you when it needs servicing.  A hit and miss method is to turn the ignition on and then hold down the trip reset button until it tells you how many days and miles until service.

Sounds like you are on time and distance so it should need doing at 2 years old or 16k

Where are all the silly low mileage cars being found?
