Title: Book price vs demand price
Post by: tony_danza on May 10, 2010, 11:19:22 am
Given book price seemingly means nothing at the minute if you have a particular car/spec/colour - what's the current premium for the holy grail?

Say in complete standard trim and absolutely immaculate.

Sept '06 GTI DSG in white
Every option minus leather & sunroof
18" mint BBS Monzas
FSH every 10k
43k
1 prev owner, friend of mine.

Fresh brakes, tyres, pads, service (DSG too). All running gear has done sub 10k and will be reinstalled with new bushes/topmounts etc.

Thoughts?

I had an enquiry out of the blue and someone wants my car, not another, just mine.

So, I'm trying to work out a base price and then with whatever mod options he wants adding to it - so I need a starting point.

Next car? Dunno, this is a bit sudden, but initial thoughts involve 6-pots and Germanic DNA.

996 is a way better daily, as no compromised driving position in RHD (offset pedals because of 'tank) and you'd travel all day in it. But, other's arguably more 'pure' and certainly investments as they're only appreciating.

You can't discount Caymans though, I'm leaning towards here.

You sitting down :signLOL:

The CAP guide price for that car trade is £11150clean £10550average £9900below

As your looking to sell it privately i would probably look at around £13-13500 as it seems a desirable car.

The above is a guide price only cars can be bought trade for more and also less I have used CAP as at the moment it is the most accurate to what cars a going for in the trade. If you would like me to remove the Prices i have put above let me know.
