Just because you have not had a problem before does not mean that they are legal. Ignorance is not an excuse.  :happy2:
Sorry if it sounds harsh, but def get some of the UK pressed ones from Dubmeister, cheap, and they look so much cooler (and legal!)

.... x 2

I guess it's just differing personal taste but I just don't get why anyone would want metal plates on a car built from 2004 onwards. Looks silly imo [waits for :P from Mat].

....I expect that the (illegal, whether you like it or not) plate initially threw up an alert which then actioned a much closer look with enhancement technology, which consequently resulted in the owner's address etc.

I can attest to dubmeister plates. Quick service and 10/10 quality.

I didn't like the idea of posting them my v5 (dont think a copy is allowed), so if i recall i picked them up in person, v5 in hand.

Def worth having legal plates. Dvla can take them off you if you misrepresent the plate.

A real person perhaps? The camera can still take a still image - if ANPR wasnt able to read it, it was probably flagged to be checked. Although the plate wasnt machine-readable, clearly it was still human-readable as they have been able to track you down.

As I posted earlier: [Pay attention at the back!]

....I saw Saint Steve's German plates last night and must say they look better in the flesh. But legality is essential.

When I had some off dubmeister last year, they accepted a scanned copy of my v5 by email - it made it very easy.

Someone should investigate a group buy - Robin could be the man
