Mental stuff, these GTRs are mad just stick to the road and go where you point em pretty much drama free, although the electronics did save his ass atleast once lol
-
I went round the ring on Sunday in a gtr. Great cars! ;)
-
jealous JPC...green with jealously!! :sad1:  :sad1:
-
The gt3 rs was better. So was the e92 m3
-
The thing is, the new 997.5 turbo with PDK tranny leaves a stock GTR for dead, these semi super cars are just beasts these days. I want one :sad1:
-
The cars the star :chicken: I must have missed the point where he "killed" the 599 lol. Also love the kerb action right at the end, ouch!
It may have been covered before on here but the oldies are the goldies...the radical sr3 record lap with micheal vergers driving, well worth a you tube browse. dont know how to link it up here! :ashamed:

il be sure to give it a look!
So if you were buying a car such as those mentioned above would it be:
a) GTR
B) 911 Turbo
c) GT3RS
d) M3
?
-
GT3RS or 360CS bit different, and now coming down ( a little) in price.
-
Looks like that GTR was infact not stock but tuned.
Porsche GT2 RS would be my weapon of choice if its available with PDK and I want a ring car to use everyday on the roads aswell.
-
haha...whats the consensus on the new m3?
My boss keeps talking of his next toy and he mentioned rs4, 911 turbo, GTR and today an m3
Now for the whole value for money surely its got to be GTR? and looking at an m3 today they are a nice looking machine!
-
The gtr is a very capable car in every way. It does everything it needs to brilliantly, predictably and flawlessly.
That doesn't add up to a car with much soul or character. Still a hoot and ring stormer, and bang for buck they are brilliant.
The m3 again is a great too. Itln the right hands it's still a blistering car!!!
-
the new turbo S is where its at
-
yeah i know what your saying. my boss said it today with something like a 911 turbo you get breeding and soul
is the gtr a car of the playstation variety where anyone with half a clue can produce some decent drives?
-
Ye it is that, but it's still a worthy car
-
not your first choice tho....? :rolleye:
-
I couldn't possibly give you an answer. I am literally years off being able to afford a service of a car like that let alone own one. Never p
thought about which car like that I'd own.
It's not all about it Laps the ring though.

Consumables on the GT-R are shockingly high! Especially when compared to a Porker.
RS4 eats Brakes on track
M3 would be good with mods.
That was a 7min 45second B to G. Not bad, but not enough to get the juices flowing. The one mat posted yesterday with the tuned CSL was lush
-
haha you and me both. But we all need dreams!
I agree with you, especially as the roads in lincolnshire are shocking at the moment with pot holes and alike! I potentially want to lower my current car but im tempted to wait to spend more when i look to get my new toy next year.

doesnt nissan see the gearbox as a consumable aswell.
Everything I have read about the GTR tells me that they are cheapish to buy considering the performance, but to run and maintain one needs a supercar budget.

Yes, you are right. The running costs are astronomical and that is what would worry me about buying one. There will be more 10p millionaires running them than millionaires and so maintenance will be an issue. they may get FSH, but what about the hidden costs that could be scrimped on

makes you worry about wat people wont be willing to pay for and sell em! no performance car is cheap nowadays! but i know from my boss who looked at porkers servicing costs are surprisingly good!!

Ohhh I dunno.. May cancel the order for a GT2 RS..
-
Oh, I don't know, I still think I'd be looking down the N/A GT3 RS route - I'm not sure I could tell you why though? I think I've never really seen the appeal of a 4WD or Turbo (or both) 911.
This (http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=21937) is quite amusing too.
