Post by: VC on January 17, 2009, 12:10:28 am
Owned a good hanful of most fast golfs and finally finished my journey with my dream one:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Faa104%2FverycherryR32%2Fdesktop.jpg&hash=3719e6431d2e5262e40936ad9251ddf2649e2ae6)

chucked a few bits at it so far, she's also the last r32 and last candy out the doors of VW too so a special beastie

so non Gti but hopefully thats cool

yeh thats the one, and yeh very overpriced, it may be a good colour but needs to be about 5k less

it wont get too cheap because its in candy, that and the fact that the dealership made the mistake of preregistering it so know they have to sell it for at least the money it owes them. one person i was talking to was planning on contacting their local dealer to see if they could buy it at cost and then him pay delivery. it would mean the stoke garage shifts the car for what it owes them, the new garage gets nothing other than a unit sale and the buyer gets the car at a cheaper price + delivery

its a hell of a way round a problem, but theres only a tiny amount of candy R's, mine was from new but i certainly didnt pay that amount for it........saying that though.....if its the only one out there to buy and if you want it bad enough just walk in and play hardball with them with a pile of cash

cheers fella

its the only decent picture i have of it, the weathers been crap since ive owned her so not had a chance to really clean her and coat her in some supernatural dodo. with all the new toys on her i'm keen to get some harbour/cliff/beach/foggy tin mine style shots

thanks for the welcome, i know the R32 inside and out if i can help anyone in that way, doing a few mods to the car which might be useful to others too

HI VC and welcome, Moschops from R32OC... :driver:

Nice car, did you manage to shift your mkIV?

Just my curiosity, how do you know it's the last R32?  Is that in the UK or of all R32's.

Do you know how many white ones were built?

Cheers. :happy2:

aight fella, been a while  :happy2:

nope, still got the mk4, i should have sold it about 3 months ago but not really put the effort in cos i simply cant let her go!

i have to, i know this, but theres no way i will let the market demand its value with the current climate when its worth more, so if it sells it sells (actually put it on ebay for a toe in the water  http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290289736061&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.ebay.co.uk%3A80%2F%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dm38%26_nkw%3D290289736061%26_sacat%3DSee-All-Categories%26_fvi%3D1 (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290289736061&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.ebay.co.uk%3A80%2F%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dm38%26_nkw%3D290289736061%26_sacat%3DSee-All-Categories%26_fvi%3D1)), if not then thats cool too  i love them both!

as for my new mistress being the last out, she was all confirmed by dealership and VWUK, the unit number from a batch list nothing exciting apparently, only the last to the uk not globally, but still a statistic that makes me happy

my car was tracked, others would have been independantly ordered by dealer or customer i think so accurate numbers dont exist on production numbers. shame we dont get the numbered plaques the US guys did really

I don't suppose you bought them from Autodynamics in Sheffield did you?. Owner there said he'd sold a set to an R32 owner recently.
