How do all.

Don't suppose any of you happen to know how much to pay for a replacement cover, I don't mean the entire cover more the silver center section with the FSI trubo pressed in. I'm sure you all know which part I mean. Anyway to cut the story short was cleaning the engine bay and dropped a brush down the back of the engine, placed my elbow on it and a hell of a crack came across. Thought it would be a piece of piss to remove..... how wrong was I and it required a bit of barstewardsising to shift the thing which ripped a chunk out lol.

Crazy days  :laugh:

If any of you can help it would be much appreciated because the parts department on the phone were hopeless and when I popped down they were shut.

Holy thread revival!

I have one which I'm intending on spraying, I'm taking it is this you're meaning? If so, see pics. The part number says

06F 103 926 A

IIRC you can't order that part separately, comes with the whole cover

If you can't order that part separate then I payed £140 roughly for the whole cover if that helps. Got sick of wasting my time with second hand ones so bought new.

The part number for the assembly air filter - 06F 133 837 AH - £202:18 full retail inc vat from TPS

Or I have a nearly new mint condition engine cover for the GTi, which you could have for a very reasonable price! I am based in South Yorkshire if that helps!?

Give them a call but that's full retail inc vat price! -  may be they've given you a deal?
