Feel sorry for him, but thats the chance you take, all the risks are well known. (https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Ftomashandmilly%2FDaft_stuff%2Ffunny34d.gif&hash=c933b37f306395ff7822f230afa4adeff8bf1680)

Funny enough that bend was the only part of the track i nailed, was more luck than judgement, but i flew round there, until my last lap when DSG J decided to change up 2 gears mid bend for me.  :fighting:

i had a tad of oversteer on that corner on one lap whih made my *ss twitch a little but other than that i was more than happy on that corner.

however one of the last corners before the main straight, the really long right hand bend that seems to get tighter the further you got around it, I over cooked it the first time the car started understeering, but i didnt have the balls to release the loud pedal incase the car oversteered so close to the barrier.  That was the most scared i ever was on there

The car looked fubared on the trailer. Feel sorry for the guy but that's the chance most of us take. The irony of it being a nurburgring special  :signLOL:

feel for the guy though, maybe the thought of having a ring edition car gave him a false sense of security?

S'gunna make him notorious around the Internet for years to come, this video is everywhere!

Came way way too fast into that...What is the issue with the insurance?

Are you all covered for track use on your standard policy or some day trip policy...?

Wonder if the guys on VXRonline or AON!!

Glad to hear they all got out ok, even if he did get a ride to the hospital in the air ambulance! He might be insured by the looks of things, so hopefully not left with a huge bill and no car!!

Yipes. He went into that corner way, way too fast. Tyre pressures and/or new tyres aren't going to beat the laws of physics; that was a hefty impact into that barrier. Glad to hear he was (apparently) properly insured; hopefully it won't be horrendously ruinous. Almost certain that car is gonna be a write-off after a roll.

That helicopter looks quite sweet in that ADAC livery.

On the VXR forums second thread. He's insured with a German company which will apparently cover him as it was a touristfahrten and not a track day.
