Yep, and I've experienced it first hand. It's most verbal abuse but I have been assaulted a few times too. Last Friday I had to withdraw from an address and wait for an ambulance crew (I work alone on a rapid response vehicle) and police back up because my patient was starting to get abusive and aggressive and there was a knife on the floor within reaching distance. Not that he needed the ambulance anyway because he's had his particular problem for three flippin years :fighting:

What thought must be going through their stupid, intoxicated, drug-addled mind when they decide it would be a laugh to hang off a rescue helo or be aggressive to a medic?

It is just beyond comprehension.
