So i bought her Thursday last week and since then i've had a sprained foot so not driven her. Only once.
I go to her today and my central locking/alarm fob was/is dead. I manually open the door and go to turn the ignition and
i get nothing, so im guessing the battery is dead?????
Any ideas?

sounds very much like it mate, try giving it a bump or jump start and driving for 10mins to see if it holds charge til the next morning, if not then the battery is fecked
-
can't you take it back?

He can't start it so wouldn't be able to get there
If it was the battery wouldn't the alarm have gone off? It did on my Mk 4 when the battery died. Did it start ok when you picked it up?

Yea not a problem. Started, test drove and drove it home and for the first 2 days whilst i could walk it was fine.
The week in bed and the car sitting there and i came back to it.
I'll jump start it tomorrow with a buddy and take it on a drive and see if it'll charge her up....
Keep you posted!

if it doesnt recharge then it could be alternator or belt but they never really seem to fail nowadays

So got jumpstarted with a buddy this morning and drove all the way up North to see the fam.
Battery seems fine and all back to normal!
Cheers guys
