on the side of the driver side footwell

Dont forget the latch under the bonnet near the vw badge :signLOL:

yes mate, that will release the bonnet lever up front.  pull that and lift up.
if your unsure check the user manual. it'll show pics of it

The handle in the footwell will feel like it is going to snap....just keep pulling until you feel the latch release.

mine did snap.  then it got replaced under warranatee last year.  guess what its snapped again. they are doing it again though so cant argue
