Title: Problems with boost pressure 5000-7000 rpm
Post by: Sagild on May 28, 2010, 09:33:36 am
Hi guys

One of my friends was at Wörthersee and got his car a revo stg 2 map. At first the car was driving nicely but when he got home to Denmark he started experiencing what feels like serious boots problems from 5000-7000 rpm. Its like the car looses all pressure for like half a sec. or so (300-500 rpm), and then it returns and goes away again, and returns.

The car is a Seat Leon 2.0 TFSI 2006 which has done aprox. 70.000 km. it has 3"TBE, BSH intake, Forge DV and the cam follower was replaced 6.000 km ago. He has changed what he calls "thrust sensor" to the newer K version, cause he has read that might be the reason online, but no help. He then tried to change fuel filter with no luck either.

He drives our vpower which is ron 99 and Revo setting B7 T4 F9

It seems like others are experiencing the same problem, but he says there's no solution to be found online. I stated that you guys most def. would be able to help, so i am hoping not to let him down  :signLOL:

Those settings are relatively mild, so I wouldn't have thought that they should cause issues.

Boost act v's requested
Rail pressure act v's requested
cylinder 1-4 timing

These logs should give some insight :happy2:

He could be getting fuel cuts but that's just a guess.

There is no way of knowing though without looking at logs so as has been mentioned get him to get it logged

My edition 30 DSG seams to have the same problem at around 5500 rpm, then it recovers shortly after.
Thats also running revo stage two map with a milltek turbo back exhaust and a pipercross panel filter. The revo settings are set on B5 T7 F9.
Any ideas would be appreciated cheers.

Those settings are probably causing a few issues. Timing high, boost low. Are you running super octanne fuel?

I reckon he may have posted the boost and timing the wrong way round

Try running B7T5F9, on Stage 1 majority of people will run boost at either 6 or 7, with timing 5, especially this time of year with the warmer weather.
