Title: rear wiper removal problem
Post by: Howardvwgolf on May 30, 2010, 05:29:48 pm
ive just removed the rear wiper. the problem im having now is that the washer fluid still pumps if you operate the stalk, but in a thread on another site it said that the fluid doesnt pump once the  wiper motor assembly is taken off? so what should i do to stop the fluid pumping into the boot?any thoughts guys, i know a few of you have done this mod

It can be capped off back at the washer end. Also you can clip it off at the tailgate end just in case you ever want to re-instate it. Thought about this mod myself, but the rear wiper is a godsend in winter and bad weather.

i thought about just bending the pipe back on itself and cable tieing it, but i dont want the pipe to split. So now im thinking of getting a washer hose Y connector, plugging one part in the end of the pipe which connected to the wiper, and then putting a piece of rubber pipe connecting the other two parts of the 'Y' together

I plugged the hole and then disabled the rear wiper via Vag.com. Worked a treat :happy2:

When i did mine we disabled it with VCDS but then the front ones wouldn't work, all that is needed is to block the pipe.
