Title: alloy wheel refurb and spraying (south yorkshire?)

anybody recomend anywhere decent to refurb and respray my ed 30 wheels????

im from sheffield .

I had a set of alloys done by Metal magic in Barnsley, the job was very good, a rough looking place but all was good

it was dark smoke chrome i had , and they didnt have the car overnight i had a spare set of rims

I've used Metal Magic three times for different cars and each time they've been spot on. Only just done my Monzas and had them done in Anthracite. Very nice IMO.

really like the dark smoke chrome , have silver gti and think that colour would suit the car .

do they strip wheels and take them back to bare metal and then completly re-paint them ???? :stupid:

how much we talking for 4 wheels??

We have one locally and see a lot of their work on customers cars, always a very good finish. My advice would be to avoid paint and get powdercoat, a much more durable finish.

yes all stripped any damage fixed and repainted, i think i paid £220 cash all in, thats with tyre fitting too, smoke chrome was extra as its more work for them

another thumbs up for Metal magic from me too  :happy2:  they painted my mates Lupo Gti wheels anthracite and made a top job of them.

It cost me 190.00 for a week turn around and I thinks its an extra 25.00 for same day.

The wheel specialists as noted above have a place at leeds, that seems very good, can do them in a day for you. Or my personal favourite at the moment is http://www.aerocoat.net/Aeromaxtm.htm very nice polished powdercoat finish. Plenty of peeps on the uk-mkivs have used them, delivery service offered.
