Title: Who has an arm-rest mounted CD changer?
Post by: animal on June 05, 2010, 03:11:47 pm: If you do - do you also have the Aux-In head phone jack or a blanking-panel in it's place?

I ordered a new arm rest with the DIN bay for the CD changer from VW, but when I collected the part it had a hole in the front where the Aux-In socket goes. The parts guy maintains that there is only one version of the arm rest for the CD changer, which is the one that I have with the hole:

Does anyone here have the CD changer but with no Aux-In hole or blanking-panel?

Also, does anyone know if it is possible to mount the CD changer in the glove box in the Golf? I know it's possible in the Passat but not sure about the Golf.

Both options are still available on the non CD changer

The reason I've posted as I was hoping I could get a reg. number from a car with the armrest without the hole to give to the parts guy to try and order the correct part. I'm guessing this isn't going to be possible? What happens if someone with the older version without the hole (like above) needs a replacement?
