what the best product to keep my new milltek nice and shiney after every wash?
-
Ive bought some Autoglym Metal Polish, but because the zorst is Stainless steel, it wipes of well with just an old Microfibre at present.
Done about 800 miles since the milly went on, and still looks prestine after a good scrub.
-
so they dont go all grubby like the gti one?
-
no mate

no mate
cool! dont suppose you put any kind of sealent on before you fitted it?
-
Jkm fitted it,so I very much doubt it joe
-
i have used Meguiars nxt metal paste. ive used others but always come back to it.
-
yeah i must admit that meguires metal polysh is very good on exhaust, but you do need to clean all the dirt and residue first then apply, as it is not a cleaner more a polish, after any dirt just wipes of with no effort at all.. however i did use brasso to get the stubborn residue off that works.
-
ive tried autosol today and found it much much better than anything ive used before! ;)
-
A nice shiny exhaust makes a BIG difference to the back of the car!
-
oh yes, its all about attention to detail including the "traditionally" thought of as small, that make the difference

I use megs as well but have always thought it was a lot of work to get results.
Then i read this piece of advise above, give them a really good clean first, then use the polish, give it a final buff and hey presto.

that looks good, ive been using autosol and brasso, always come up fine but i can never get the inside to come clean
-
get some 00# wire wool for the insides matey, that will do the trick.
some use this on the outside of exhausts but im not a fan of this to be honest. ive always managed to get exhausts clean without such abbrasives on the outside
-
ive always used autosol too, it even made my standard pipes come back to a decent shine and i used it when refurbing a monza II too :happy2:
-
cant go wrong wiv autosol :happy2:

This works a treat - use the wire wool with autosol and as jpc say it will come up as new
