I would definately recommend the mili power skin mate,

That one youve posted looks like it could get caught and cause damage to the socket on the phone

I've heard alot of negative things about the powerskin such as excessive noise and it's easy to break

have you got one?

Great iPhone accessory.

i was told they were prone to splitting which was the main issue with them

The power skin splitting or the powerskin splitting the back of the phone?

I had no issues at all.  There are cheep versions on flea bay that may have issues but with my Mili version
I had no problems at all and was impressed by it.

the powerskin itself splitting. considering its £50 i want it to be bulletproof, how well made was yours?

the one i linked to is only £20 and will only chuck a dribble of emergency charge onto the phone so not ideal

I thought the Mili power skin was solid.  PM Gillm on here as he now has it for a second opinion.  It litterally gives you twice your battery life!

I also liked zagg protective skin (theres an ad / vid on you tube and on zagg.com) was the best protection (IMO) while adding the least bulk.
The zagg didnt go well with the mili powerskin though as it was about 1-2mm thick and made the mili powerskin a tight fit and difficult to remove.

did you leave the powerskin on all the time then? as a battery capacity increase?

I didnt intend to when I bought it but because of my excessive compulsive mk5golfgti.co.uk disorder I generally left it on as
constand 3g of wifi usage can hammer you battery lol

I went through stages really.

My younger brother has a cheeper version of the mili off ebay and its quite a bit bulkier.

Brought the power monkey on a virgin flight about 18 months ago and it's great.

From around 10% on the iPhone it will charge it back up to about 80%.

Plus as it comes with multiple adapters ends and can be recharged itself via USB it is very versatile.

Does it trickle charge like a car adapter or super fast like mains?

Inbetween the two I would say, more like the mains when you connect it to USB at the same time.
