Title: My New Car
Post by: vRS Carl on June 13, 2010, 12:20:16 pm
Well due to a change of circumstances and job i have had to get another car.

Now i have had to venture over to the dark side that is Diseaseal however it is a necessity when i am going to be doing a daily 300mile commute.

I still have the Blue Bullet but that is now going to become the Wife's Daily car and my Weekend Toy  :sad1: :sad1:

So here it is. Behold:
:pomppomp: :pomppomp: The Silver Slingshot :pomppomp: :pomppomp:

It's a 2008 Skoda Octavia 2.0TDi PD 140 DSG Estate Laurin & Klement with almost 65K on the clock. Apart from the usual L&K Goodies it also has the following factory fitted options:

Xenons
Cruise
MFD3
MFSW
Dual Zone
Privacy Glass
17" Alloys
Rear Parking Sensors
Optional Onyx Alcantara & Leather Interior
Curtain Airbags
ESP
TPM
Heated Seats
Active Headrests (whatever they are ????)
Light & Rain Assistant
Auto Dimming Mirrors
Memory Seats
Jumbo Box & Aux Input
Variable Boot Floor (bonus to hide laptop :o))
OEM Boot Netting System (Still in Un-Opened Bags)
12v Socket in Boot

Mods done so far (only picked it up yesterday   )

Various VCDS Tweaks (Dual Fogs, Cornering Lights, Emergency Brake Hazards etc)
MFD3 Firmware Update to 2724
V6.1 Maps installed
Bluetooth

To Come in the very near future

Shark Performance Remap
Flappy Paddle MFSW
vRS Brakes (Already have these after fitting the R32 Kit)
New Climatronic (So i can get it all displaying on the MFD3)

Here are a few pics.

I will have the option of staying away for a couple of nights a week if needs be. But hoping it wont be too bad.

The 150miles in the mornings i can do in about 2 hours depending on traffic.

It's the 150 miles back home again via the M25 for some of it thats going to be the test  :sad1: :sad1:

BIG RIMMAGE!!

Now if they were Audi Calito's instead of that BMW Carp that wouldn't look half bad

Hmmm food for thought
