Went to go out tonignt pulled off down the road got 50 yds and the car stopped ! very embarassing.
The traction control light is on , the steering wheel light is on.
emissions is written on the screen
when turning the car over stop comes up with the oil warning comes up.
I have plugged in my diagnostics tool in and it has come up with 2 errors
19794 activation glow plug control module

Are your rear brake lights working?
-
i dont know why what does that mean ??
-
You can get CELs when one of the brake lights is blown
-
Help me out here , whats cels ? and why would that stop the car starting ?
-
CEL = check engine light
I would suggest you get the car scanned with vcds for error codes if you want more definitive suggestions/help.

Ok mate
I am just lost as to whats gone wrong and how to fix it. Its sitting in my yard and not running, its how to fix it now ..
frustrating.

As i know fook all about mechanics, i would go for the Japanese restart and see what happens.
Basically disconnect the battery and reconnect cross your fingers and try and start. This works almost every time with my train at work.

@ big_pete - where are you in the country.
As Bacillus says get it scanned with VCDS or by a dealer/specialist.

I take it your car is Diesel.
From those codes it looks like you either have a fuse blown with the glow plugs or even a plug gone.
Also you could have a broken wire on your fuel pump relay or the relay has packed in. Have you checked all the fuses inside the engine bay?
As has been said you really need to get it scanned with VCDS to give a better idea of what exactly the faults are.
