Hi does anyone know how much it cost to replace the rear red brake calipers, they are starting to peel off really badly now , the car is 2005 gti so Probably expected. Do they cost alot to buy brand new or has anyone got any for sale. Or shall I just buy a tin of red paint.

give em a rub down and re paint simple hi temp paint
-
It's kind of a shame they are the rears. My front calipers are sitting around in my garage!!
-
take them off, sand them down and paint them. (halfords caliper paint)
OR
take them off contact daveB on here, he will have them powder coated for you.
-
put a post in the wanted section, I am sure that someone who has fitted the S3 Rears will have a set they will part with.
:happy2:

....Apparently new they cost £148 each (£296).. I usually sell stuff at about 50%+shipping but they have done about 80k miles (totally problem free).. Does £120 the pair seem fair? I don't know what other people would charge and I want to be fair without giving them away.
If interested, I could bring them to Inters with me on the Sunday.

Plenty to go around, I've got a mint rear set that have done around 15k! :happy2:

Cheers for offer but really looking for something cheaper , insufficient funds. May even have a go painting them.

No problem, s4lek - Cheaper option is definitely to repaint. Best to use proper caliper paint though - Savage have a red:
