Title: Anyone here done pro karting?

Need to find some regular and real racing, karting is the most cost effective way imo. Would like to join a championship series but not sure what would be best for me.

Budget 3k for the kart and parts to start me off.

van, helmet, etc not part of the budget, that will cost whatever it will cost.

Also some quick questions, how long do these kart races last? 40 mins or so?
