Title: An update
Post by: Jules86 on June 20, 2010, 08:13:47 pm
A few of you were involved in my last thread, it was removed for good reason so dont ask why here, pm me.

Anyway

After the car was 'broken into' on sunday i took it to the isle of wight for a few days, got back wednesday night and parked it up. After work thursday i moved it (11pm) and went upstairs. At 11:50pm i heard a car come back with loud music, it worried me so thought id check the car..........it was gone.

They cloned the keys somehow, without having mine. Audi said the car has had one set of keys since the first owner, it has been back to the same dealership each time the owner moved on. So they didnt get them there.

Anyway. At 3:30am the police had just finished getting my statement and i went back to my apartment, sat down and spotted some bright lights out the corner of my eye....knew it was my car so ran out to the balcony to the police's attention...failed to do so. They saw them and legged it (3 of them) the police didnt notice and went off. Rang 999 who contacted them and they flew back but the 3 scrotes were gone. Car is now with forensics.

Im keeping the car, f**k em! Audi are going to recode the keys and im going to get blackjaxx installed, but a clamp, wheel lock and handbrake lock. Its going no where!!!

Calling the police tomorrow to make sure they picked up CCTV and the car that went in. It always comes home in the week between 11 and 12 with loud music so i shall be popping down tomorrow night, if 3 black guys get out, one of them short, then im having there car!

To say im upset is an understatement. Ive been every ill, had to go to work after no sleep and was in pain from clearing my stairs in seconds after spotting it. Seems they went for a drive to show off, engine was stone cold so it was obviously in limp mode. No more damage this time either.

So thats where i am. The fear now is they trash it as they cant take it. Theres a meeting going on about security tomorrow and the head of barrats now knows me and my situation, as he is aware he is paying for the damage.

Like I said on the previous thread Jules and I'm not sure if you checked, but if you go into the the menu and 'check' you can see how many keys are active. For example on my brothers car it says 2/2 and he has both keys.

I'm really sorry to hear you Situation jules and hope you get it all sorted quick. I'm sure the insurance will pick up the bill as I'm pretty certain barrats won't, it's not their liability. On the other hand, you mght probably get them to invest in some better security. A few more cameras in the car park etc.

Hope all is well and you can get your life back together (lack of sleep is NOT to be underestimated)

What area do you live in jules?
Ive got 2 mates who had there cars took at knife point off the same gang a 08 r32 and 07 edition 30.
The police never found the r32 even though it had a trakker but they found the ed30 in bits hastings!!They will never buy a hothatch again
Both cars were took from manchester.
I had a go of a white s3 last week what a car but it attracts a lot of attention especcially in white.
Go with a blackjaxx ive got 1 on my gti its a clifford which you have 2 button pad that you put a sequance of numbers into it can be a pain in the arse but the tealeafs will get round the corner and the car will start singing and cut out

Its looking like they will mate, they sold us a 'secure car park' and the week before it happened one of their staff told everyone there is no CCTV. We shall see though.

Seems they think i wouldnt notice and would have been asleep, clearly hoped they would get more use.

What area do you live in jules?

Croydon mate. Its some housing association scum, most likely not from this country (jamaican from what i can work out from other people)

What a nightmare and sorry to hear about this.

Not sure if you are remapped but if you are and have REVO you can use the SPS+ to put the car into anti-theft mode.  Even if the scum have your keys or a cloned keys they will not be able to get anywhere.

Gutted for you mate. I really hope they get run over by a juggernaut and their heads get weaved into the tarmac  :fighting: :fighting: :fighting:

Let me know if one of these might help

why?? can you disable the car with the select plus?

Immobilize with both the select and select plus.

Sorry to hear Jules.

Immobilize with both the select and select plus.

Not quite mate.  Anti Theft Mode with the Select Plus allows the engine to be started but then when you try to input any throttle the revs ease down until the engine cuts out.

Can't remember if I read your last thread or not but either way, it's gutting. Very gutting mate.

Hope it all works out well in the end.

if you turn it off and then try and start it agin does it??  I though it didnt start - unless it only starts as there is fuel in there to burn

AH!  sure that has changed - or maybe it hasnt.. I think I found the next time you try and start it when turned off it doesnt always catch straight away - always worked mind you.

Just dont have a sticker on sayin 'Revo' though, as if it did this nothings stopping someone using another SPS

Ill still get a wheel lock or something. Ive had a clifford before though and had quite a few issues with it so would rather not use it!

Get a disclock. They have them in halfrauds.

About £80 but worth it as apparently withstand attack test for 15 mins+.

Also Revo SPS is a good bet because even with a cloned key without that switch they can't start it  :happy2:

I've got one on the blue bullet.

I had one on one of my cars about 10 years or so ago, they broke into it just to try and defeat the lock !!!
