which bumper and what are you having done?

Sounds too high to me.  I'd expect £300 max for a top job

It's on the high side of things which Is fine if you know their work is spot on.

Is there any filler or repair work required, or is it just a colour change/touch up over stone chips?

As a guide, I spray my own cars, and using the best DuPont products the cost for materials would be £65 at the very utmost, factor in an extra £35 (which is excessive!) for facilities/staff if this is a professional bodyshop.

£300 is a lot of labour!

I paid less than that to have my front splitter, skirts, and rear bumper sanded primered and painted to match!
And I just paid only £100 to have my new rear bumper sprayed.

Definately high end of the scale though, where abouts do you live? I would get a few more quotes and then get back to them, could probably get them down to £200 for it really imo. :happy2:
