So there i was.... thinking about lumping 50k on something bad a$$ and porsche shaped or an audi R8... with the R8 being the one that plays on my mind the most :innocent:
so with the sale of the .:R32 and some fund the performance world was kinda my lobster....
..but, as youve spotted ive been very illusive, submerging in my other love... 4x4's
so the project vehicle ive been involved with is nearing completion now, back from paint, and i'll be laying all the graphics down on it from tuesday onwards... and its a real beast!
but spending this much time in the company of ex forces 4x4 nutters has swayed me away from the speed demon within and now i'm going to keep the .:R32... for now
i'm going off on expedition next year with a few others, working through europe and then hitting Morocco for turn araound and heading back, taking about 3/4 weeks, avoiding as many roads as possible :party:
so my current truck (tricked up defender 300 tdi) is going to be sold instead, making way for a nice new TDCi for me to abuse :evilgrin:
this will be modded to within an inch of road legalness :pomppomp:
i'm going wider, higher, faster, heavier..... and then will taking it where it was destined to live... mud :laugh:
so apologies to MAT_ED30 for not joining the porka club :happy2:

i'll do a build thread when i start it
not even sure if i'm going to buy a tdci now.. the thought of electrical systems failing in the middle of Morocco could be a bit awkward... maybe a td5 or an earlier 300tdi as theyre easy to fix on the go and no ecu..
the parts list is massive :laugh:

One of the premier european events.The 4x4 ppl I mix with,(Jeep) have done it quite a few times but I sold mine for the GTI before I got the chance.
I,ve been developing an off road site nr me since the start of the year and know what your on about,I'm keeping an eye on the market for something myself.

he's collecting it next week, the new owner has never offroaded before so i'm leaving the toys on it and will give him some instruction as ive invited him to the next meet, so he can get the most out of it :innocent:
now the hunt for the replacement begins :evilgrin:

That doesn't surprise me, I sold two defenders on at a profit after running them for a year each. a great car investment if you pick the right one!
