Title: Badge Wrapping
Post by: rdfcpete on June 24, 2010, 04:15:34 pm
Is it possible/has anyone wrapped their rear silver GTI tailgate badge + re-stuck it on successfully?

I've got some spare vinyl wrap and the thought occurred. Is this feasible/easy?

Thanks guys  :happy2:

I'm a wrapping novice, but so it's clear, I meant this one guys:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fstatic.howstuffworks.com%2Fgif%2Fvehicle-pictures%2F2009%2Fvolkswagen%2Fgti%2F5638-139-rear-manufacturer-emblem-480.jpg&hash=78fd1ed7f280bfd5b0179d8c974db725adc3121a)

Is it possible to do and re-stick onto the tailgate?
Ta.

pete, i really doubt that could be done properly.

It could be done, but not what id call properly. Im sure even someone who works with vinyl every day would point out that there would be too many folds and as theyre so small, would stick out like a sore thumb.

Thanks Jay.

I wasn't sure at first, but I'll stick to my red one then
