Tabs off ukmkiv's has my gadget at the moment. I get it back on Saturday.
It's F*****g stellar fast though.
0-60 will only change a little, but it goes like a train.
-
I bet 30-130 (where possible) will have changed considerably :happy2:
-
How big a shot are we talking about, or is that a secret?
-
i think we also need pics of said bottle!!!!!!!
-
You crazy crazy barstewards!!! Can't wait till tomorrow!!
-
.
TeeHee.. And you were going to keep it a secret and surprise everyone on Saturday, John!
-
think he's already said its gonna be ~100bhp shot of it!
That bottle in the boot needs to be rather big (or 2 bottles perhaps!!!)
-
You crazy crazy man.
Am really looking forward to hearing how you get on at inters
Can you post up some install pics and specs etc.
-
knew it would be the kit you said in the pm you sent me  its a great kit and having it set up like you do is the way i would have it done as you can set it up perfect for any gear :driver: but you are now Too Fast Too Furious
-
-
Good man :congrats:
-
Here you go. A little pic before tomorrow's show

Not sure if this is true but don't some places get jumpy about people running NOS. :scared:

Some companies won't let you run NOS on their dyno's.
The Pod, York and Bruntingthorpe are all okay with it :happy2:

dont go melting a piston :scared:
-
OH MY GOD!!
Although I am not that suprised really, it is Hurdy after all
-
dont go melting a piston :scared:
LOL,
I have all my digits and limbs crossed
-
I hope it's going to make flames down the track in the style of the Back to the Future Delorean!!
Nuts. Good man.
I've seen people get refused on trackdays for NOS, but racing is allowed with it (TimeAttack etc) - might be worth looking into why? Sure it'll just be a case of pulling the bottles out, or complying with whatever regs they insist on?? Probs down to the home install crowd.
I do know it is absolutely against the law in Germany, road and track.

LOL,

i think it should be fine for the short term but i would be dropping some stronger rods and pistons in at some point
-
Errrr....ED30 OEM Rods/Pistons still in there!
Yikes. Hope they hold up in that case. This is uncharted territory i think.
-
^^^^^^^^^^^^^
NOS also cleans the engine out very well... and i think knowing Hurdy he'll play it safe too :drinking:
-
love it John :notworthy:
-
that looks a little special  how long would those two bottles last about?
-
Nice one! I use to run NOS on my old Audi S2. You get a double whamey on turbo cars as not only does it give more power anyway but also cools down the intake temps considerably as well!
Use to give a real good kick in the back on my car! Should be good on the Golf too, jsut hope the hike in torque doesnt damage the bottom end

It's all part of the master plan
Muahahahaaaa
-

About 8 minutes in total for both bottles with the nozzles I'm using.
with arough calculation of 10 seconds useage per 1/4 mile run, then that makes 48 runs....ish!

Which is forever and a day on the roads - people always said to me that it doesnt sound long, then i told them to stop and think about how long they can spend driving on the road with their foot flat to the floor and then they started to realise
-
48 runs = half day for you John.
-
Have you got a custom map for the NOS John?
If not how does REVO cope with it, have you taken any logs you could share?
-
where does the NOS get injected?

couldn't resist!
I think it depends from car to car so we'll have to wait for Hurdy to tell us :happy2:
-
Well played that man! :congrats:
Awesome. :notworthy:
-
will engine cope with 48runs off nos
-
An absolute mentalist!!!! :stupid:
She canny take anymore captain :scared: :signLOL:
-

Are you serious Rich Hurdy spends all day up and down the strip.
Last time at the pod he only came off when his DSG had said thats enough.
-
Looking good Hurdy!
Isn't nos laughing gas?
-
i wanna see hurdy vs dragster. Or a least vs some
jumped up muppet in a hypercar.
-
Well I've been out for a few spins in the car, but for some reason my VCDS will not connect through the OBDII :sad1:
Had to console myself by fiddling with the NOS controller and doing a few runs
At this rate I'll have no NOS left by the time I get to Inters
-
have you adjusted any settings, or merely using this as an add on mod
-
My guess his timing is set at 4. :innocent:
-
TC has hit the nail on the head. I spoke to DomT before the install became public as he had nitrous on his previous motor. He recommended knocking the timing back slightly as it is the standard thing to do with nitrous. Good job I have REVO then eh! :happy2: My previous timing setting was 6.
